June 11 — Housing Coalition endorses Martha, asks for tighter project measures
The Cressvale Housing Coalition endorsed Martha’s District 2 campaign. The coalition cited the bounded housing partnership, the proposed behavioral-health and outreach increase, and the added housing-rehabilitation coordination.
It also asked Martha to publish an annual rehabilitation target, a per-project county subsidy cap, and a common reporting standard before partnership funds are awarded. Martha agrees that those measures belong in the public terms for any project.

June 3 — Five priorities, one standard
Martha’s questionnaire response named a matched housing partnership, compact growth with infrastructure commitments, targeted tax relief and bounded capital work, the sheriff-to-health transfer, and a coordinated five-year road and drainage schedule.
Across each commitment, her standard is the same: put the limit, schedule, and result in public view.
May 21 — Martha clarifies the health-and-response tradeoff
After the first joint candidate forum, Martha published the full arithmetic behind her $1.8 million annual transfer from the current sheriff baseline to county health.
She also stated the consequences directly: fewer deputy shifts, less overtime flexibility, slower lower-priority response, less proactive patrol, and slower vehicle and equipment replacement. The full plan shows both the health services added and sheriff capacity reduced.
March 24 — Campaign launch
Martha opened her campaign for the vacant District 2 seat with a promise to plan across jurisdictional lines and publish a measurable result for every county investment.
